We&#;ve come a long way from the days when straight actors who took on queer roles would go on and on about how they had to depart through some kind of process to play the part and blah, blah, blah.
It was just tedious.
But Trevor Donovan is not one of those actors. He&#;s a thoughtful guy who really gets the significance of his storyline on The CW&#;s that has his traits of Teddy, a accepted tennis playing high institution student, coming to terms with being gay.
Trevor recently talked to Soap Opera Weekly about Teddy&#;s journey. Here is some of what he had to say:

Gay people just are. They didn't opt the lifestyle. Alienation of gays simply for creature who they are is an awful, horrendous thing.
They have been stoned to death, killed, discriminated against simply for being who they are! Why anyone wants to celebrate a bible that sanctions that is beyond comprehension. Yes, sure there are some nice teachings in the bible, but the one forbidding homosexuality has done a lot of harm.
They act as if everyone would be gay without it. Fuck them for that. Fuck them for the painful shit they caused gays to endure for centuries.
Sure have your hetero sex marriage, fine! But don't you dare say gays are degenerates. Science has proven it's physiological. It's discrimination for something uncontrollable, like skin color.
