A choose-your-own path game: a gay dating sim
Obscura1
Hello folks. I’ve been a fan of Choice-of-Games but yep, I decided to go the Ren’Py route to inflict–I mean–share, my artistic talents with the world.
I ended up making a demo for a gay male dating website sim.
If you’re interested, please check it out. I’ve used the various kind articles from this site to help me chart out routes to my game. The game will be available December and is called “Coming Out On Top.”
It’s another game being crowdfunded through Kickstarter. At the moment, it’s gotten a lot of support. Additional support is welcome of course, but if not, critiques from actual fans of the multiple-branching-storyline model would be excellent. I think there’s a good chance you’ll enjoy the demo too if you like m/m romance/games/fiction.
While the game is story and character based, it is an 18+ game due to some erotic content. Please test out the demo if you’re interested. (Link is on the Kickstarter site.)
And yes–the main criticism is not the writing so much as the reality all the guys watch like models. I’m terrified
App Addicted: 'Supergay' iPhone game delivers hero-powered gay pride
There have been plenty of apps that have tried (and thankfully failed) to promote a hate-filled anti-gay message in Apple's App Store. But should the powers of darkness strike once again, fear not! "Supergay" is here to save the day.
Or, good, at least it's here to deliver some gay-pride-themed gaming along with a comic-book-style coming-out story with a twist.
The new episodic app released for the iPhone and the iPad is called "Supergay & the Attack of his Ex-Girlfriends" ($).
The basics are this: You play Dr. Tom Palmer, a young gentleman on his way to becoming the pink-and-black-clad hero known as Supergay. As the game opens, we find Tom working on a controversial cloning plan while coming to terms with the fact that he's not really into the ladies all of this right before he's about to wed his boss' daughter.
Nefarious secrets are afoot and a cloning experiment goes wrong as Tom tries to inhabit a lie rather than admit the truth. Inspect out the trailer here:
As of right now, you can play the firs
That's how certain things work on the store, unfortunately. If the app's content isn't inherently sexual, and as you said is through DMs and stuff, the NSFW can get bypassed. Except for dating apps, choose your story games and AI chat apps bypass the ban as well. Sakura, the AI chat service had porn on it until a few weeks ago, now they ended up blurring it, but only in the overview, you can still glimpse total nudity if you open a bot. Choose Your Story apps don't have nude pictures, but the write does often enclose very explicit content, like heavily detailed sex scenes, and large amounts of curse words, and somehow they still manage to obtain a rating of PEGI 16 etc.
Unfortunately for this game, even from a single photo, it's obviously inherently sexual, so neither the App Store nor Google Play will allow it.

And see how LGBTQ+ characters enliven these story lines.
Here’s a look support at the great games that broke new ground by integrating LGBTQ+ characters and themes.
You’d think teenage life would be easy if you could rewind time. Not so for Max, the protagonist of the interactive story Life Is Strange. This beautifully told, heartbreaking tale—and its prequel, Life Is Strange: Before the Storm—thoughtfully explores what it means to grow up and to be a authentic friend.
Knights of the Ancient Republic, still one of the best Star Wars games, is set in a galaxy far, far away—and 4, years before the Galactic Empire. It features the Cathar Jedi Knight Juhani, the first LGBTQ+ character revealed in the Star Wars world.
Combining rich role-playing with real-time combat, Jade Empire has you master a wide range of fighting styles to battle (or become) evil. When the game was released in , its same-sex-romance options were ahead of their time.
