Hi all, anyone knows any Gay friendly bars or club around the area to help a cousin of mine who is planning to show up stay with me from California for a week. His boyfriend cheated on him and I just want to help the guy out for the meantime while he is here.

I believe the Castle off Pleasantburg closed several years back after being there for decades and there was a long standing one neighboring Airport and Haywood that closed too both due to owner retirement I think. Haven't heard of any LGBTQ specific ones now. With so much growth in Gville you would think it would be a good business opp for someone. Something different than the alike standard run of the mill bars and clubs now. Not sure about Spartanburg.

Club South 29 in Spartanburg, South Carolina is complicated to find. Its the only gay bar in the county Upstate region of million people. Love many other bars, they have no sign, their website is defunct, their Twitter inactive, and only during frantic googling from a neighboring parking lot did I learn from a promoters website that it was a confidential membership club that required an application hours beforehand.
The address is a number on U.S. Highway 29, but you cant spot building numbers at 55 miles per hour, at day or night.
GPS told me Id passed it so I drove through connected parking lots of the pawn shops, muffler shops, and auto-body yards with my windows down, but all I could hear were crickets, frogs and zooming cars. If I didnt know that Aja from RuPauls Performative Race was performing that night I would include assumed the club didnt exist. Only from the alleyways could I perceive a distant thump-thump-thump over the other night sounds. On another pass I saw a break in the chain link fence
